Advisory Board of Shwapno Kanon

Md. Mizanur Rahman is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North Western University and North Western University Trust. He also holds the position Chairman of Dream Mark Limited. A respected entrepreneur and social worker, Mr. Rahman is the CEO of Intrepid Broadband Communication Ltd., United Communication & Service, Intrepid International, and Skybiz Communication Network. Under his capable leadership, North Western University continues on a path of sustained growth as a philanthropic institution. The revenue generated by the university is being reinvested for the institution’s overall development and the enhancement of educational opportunities. Thanks to his leadership and diverse experience, the university has achieved significant progress.

He served as Senior Assistant Vice President (SAVP) at Union Bank Limited, IMRD, Head Office, Dhaka. Before that, he worked as SAVP & Acting Head of ICCD at Southeast Bank Limited (SEBL). He is currently serving as Executive Vice President at Cube Transportation and also working as the Financial Advisor at Pushpodhara Properties Ltd.

Kamrul Islam, Vice Chairman is a dynamic business leader with a strong background in entrepreneurship and corporate management. A graduate in Economics from the University of Rajshahi, he co-founded the startup Seven Star and later established multiple ventures, including the notable brand Dining Room. He also has significant experience in real estate and hospitality, including his involvement with Sunset Kuakata Hotel & Resort. Beyond business, he serves as a Trustee Member of Shelter BD and played a key role in the eco-resort project Shwapno Kanon, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and community-focused initiatives.

He also works as a Branch Manager at Pragati Life Insurance Limited, overseeing branch management and business development.He is the Founder Director of his own IT business and a Founder Member of the Shwapno Kanon Project.
